I've tried many times to put on mental horse blinders and keep up with Bryson’s gait, but I just can't help myself when I see a shiny cap poking out of the soil, or a splinter of bone sitting in a grassy meadow. I literally gasp or shriek at these magical treasures and end up coming home with a much heavier pack.
